--Mini Update--
Saturday morning was a battle royale as four doubles teams out of six shot down double digits. Lucas Collier and Steve Dodge were victorious after a playoff - finishing at 41 (-13). This is the first doubles win in a couple months for both partners. An amazing round with the six teams shooting 59 under par combined. Come out Thursday for an alternate format round.

Thirty-nine. There were thirty-nine signers of the Declaration of Independence. Thirty-nine books of the Old Testament. Thirty-nine steps in Hitchcock's classic movie. Thirty-nine strokes was all it took Matt Hall on Thursday night to complete his round at Pecan Park. His incredible 15 under par (all birds except 2,15!,16) shatters the course record and is the lowest round played officially by anyone ever in Nacogdoches. Lucas Collier's 2nd place of 10 under par was still five strokes off of Matt's pace. The round is unoffically a 1080 rated round, and will encourage or dishearten local players for quite a while. Congrats to Matt for an outstanding round!
Lucas Collier nabbed second, while Cory Adams picked up third. Justin Lopez took the Intermediate division with a strong 5 under par, and Lucas won the CTP on hole #9 (6 foot). Come out Saturday for doubles at Pecan.

---Crusher Wins Tyler 54!----

Three cheers to Lucas Collier who became the first Nac Crusher this year to win an out of town touney in the highest division offered. He won the Tyler 54 amateur tourney by winning the advanced division by 10 strokes! His hot summer is now officially on fire as he proves that he has an iron grip on the top Crushers player. Come out to try your skills against Lucas in our local minis.

Nacogdoches Lake Course
Saturday May 8, 2010 marked a high point for the Nacogdoches Crushers when they installed 18 baskets at the new lake course. Many helped to put in the Innova DiscCatchers and push along the 3 year plan that we have had to get in a course at Lake Nacogdoches. While the fairways, tee boxes, signs still need to be worked on, having a playable course is a strong step towards having major tourneys in Nacogdoches.
Thanks to the many Crushers who came out to help on the install - Ryan Ainsworth, Jeremy Bledsoe, Brady Condit, John Howell, David Lightfoot, Craig Lewis, Grayson Middlebrook, Matt Odenwelder, Dan Page, Jerred Scroggins. Sorry if I left someone out. Come out and play our tough, new course. Call for a guide.
